Jennifer directs the FIU Library’s Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing Center (GIS Center), Map and Imagery User Services (MIUS), and the Digital Collections Center (DCC). Daniel earned his Master of Science degree from the Department of Environmental Studies at Florida International University. His areas of expertise include remote sensing, digital image processing, geographic database design, and GIS analysis. He oversees the technical and scientific research aspects of the Center’s projects.
Daniel is a graduate of Florida International University, where he studied Information Technology at the School of Computer Science. He specializes in developing web-based applications, and open source server management. His experience includes GIS programming, metadata storage and retrieval, GIS desktop applications, and systems administration.

Boyuan is a graduate of Florida International University, where he studied Transportation Engineering at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Having earned a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from Beihang University in China, he specializes in developing web-based database and GIS applications, programming, and using GIS software in civil engineering project management.
Ximena earned her Master of Science degree from Florida International University’s Department of Earth and Environment. She develops training modules to prepare data for disaster risk assessment modeling using remotely sensed data and open source GIS software.
