How much does it cost to print a poster?

Answer: The printing price for posters is $1.80 multiplied by the running length of the paper in inches. Posters with solid backgrounds and large solid borders will be printed at $2.16 per inch, due to the greater usage of ink. Refer to Poster Printing for more information.

 

How much does it cost to prepare a map?

Answer: The cost of a customized map is determined by the number of hours required, billed at an hourly consulting rate. Refer to Map Publishing for more information.

 

What maps and geospatial data does the GIS Center have?

Answer: The GIS Center (and MIUS) provides access to a number of geospatial datasets, as well as printed maps, atlases and guidebooks. To find geospatial datasets, use our Data Search Engine. How do I transfer files back and forth from my personal computer or another remote location to a GIS Center computer?

Answer: Users can access their GIS Center accounts and other data via FTP (File Transfer Protocol). To learn how to FTP to/from the GIS Center, follow the Setting-up SFTP tutorial.

 

How can I get a GIS Center student account?

Answer: You can get a GIS Center account if you: Register for a GIS course — you will get an account automatically. Request an account using our online request form. Refer to Request an Account for more information.
